Cyber Security Engineer

6 month contract



Provide subject matter expertise for development and implementation of cyber security policy for Platform Information Technology (PIT) Systems, Operational Technology (OT) systems, Integrated Bridge Communication and Navigation Systems on board MSC ships

Conduct a review of draft Cybersecurity policy documents for technical accuracy, compliance with applicable standards and potential conflicts with existing policy. The Contractor(s) shall develop associated redline markups, Documents total approximately 120 pages.





Conduct  a cybersecurity assessment for T-EPF Class PIT Systems utilizing existing DIACAP artifacts. The Contractor(s) shall develop all documentation required for completion of an RMF Security Plan, IAW ref (a) (b) (c) & (d). Documents required include but are not limited to: System Categorization, List of Tailored Security Controls, and Continuous Monitoring Strategy.  Submit Security Plan to the Navy Authorizing Official (NAO) for approval via Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) IAW ref (e). Cybersecurity assessments and Security Package development shall only be completed for the following T-EPF PIT Systems IAW ref (a), (b), (c), (d), and (e):



        1. ECDIS: Electronic Chart Display and Information System



        2. JETS: JHSV Entertainment Television System



        3. JRSS: JHSV Remote Surveillance System



        4. JIVCS: JHSV Integrated Voice Communication System



        5. JWIVCS Wireless Integrated Voice Communication System





Review  existing RMF Security Plan artifacts, implement security controls, RMF Step 3, and develop Security Assessment Plan, RMF Step 4, for submission to the NAO, IAW ref (a) (b) (c) & (d), for T-ARS Machinery Control System.





Develop list of core competencies for PIT System cyber security Team members IAW applicable PIT systems directives. The Core competencies shall include all required certifications, training, and experience to develop PIT system RMF Authorization to Operate and manage the PIT System cybersecurity program

Conduct ship checks and provide subject matter expertise during the performance of vulnerability assessments on board of T-EPF ships.
