PAY RANGE: $12-14 per hour

Position Summary:

Provides administrative support to the Office Manager on personnel matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs customer service functions by answeringemployee requests and questions.
Assistin benefit enrollment as needed.
Conductspre-employment screening such as drug testing, background checks andreference checks.
UpdatesHR database with employee change requests and processes paperwork.
Assistswith processing of terminations.
Assistwith unemployment claims asneeded
AssistsManagers with various projects.
Conductsnew hire orientation and all related HR paperwork for temp personnel.
Assistswith recruiting and scheduling orientations as needed.
Schedulesmeetings and interviews as requested by Managers.
Makescopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions.
Filespapers and documents into appropriate employee files.
Compose, type, and edit correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other material.
Prepares new employee files.
Preparesaccess lists for ship access. Training other employees in generaladministrative tasks.
Performsother duties as assigned.

Recent Associate degree in Human Resources would be ideal
OR 1-3 years of HR-related work experience.
Prior experience in a staffing firm a plus
Previous experience with New Hire Orientation a plus
Possession of strong planning, organizational andproblem solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as wellas to accept direction on given assignments.
Able to work collectively with the HR team associates.
Must type at least 50 wpm.
