LPN Position available in ENT Office located in williamsburg, Va

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Accompanying patients to exam room, completing the check in process for the patients and documenting in the EMR/EHR system and triaging to prepare patient for office visit with the doctor/NP.
(Vitals, preparing for procedures, updating patient history and making sure
Diagnostic testing is in patient s chart for review)

Documenting the patients visit for the doctor, making sure documentation is complete.
(Documentation of complete exam, Rx logged, Tests ordered, NP letters faxed out and patient update letters sent to PCP) Produces a varity of documents, including history and physical examination reports, consultation reports, progress notes.

Assisting the doctor with procedures to include biopsies, FNA s and cultures.

Giving injections perform spirometry, tympanogram, strep cultures or any other diagnostic testing if ordered by the doctor.

Keeping rooms stocked with supplies and making a list of supplies needed for ordering

Cleaning exam rooms after each patient, cleaning instruments and weekly cleaning of medical equipment in exam rooms that the cleaning service will not clean.

Keeping sample closet free of expired medications

Keep work area clean and follow OSHA guidelines

Cleaning & sterilizing instruments and restocking them in the exam rooms

Flexible schedule to be able to work around doctors being off or running late

Extra duties:

Helping with input manager to include retrieving labs and diagnostic reports and tasking them to the doctor for review.
Helping with doctors schedules (moving patient s to NP schedule)
Calling in prescriptions
Handling patient calls/messages
Calling post-op patients
Periodic deep cleaning of exam rooms
Any other duties asked by lead or manager


High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
LPN License

Basic Computer Skills/ Knowledge
Able to obtain basic vital signs on a patient.
Skill in performing medical assistance tasks appropriately.

Knowledge of medical record protocols and legal and ethical requirements related to keeping patient information confidential.

Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures.
Ability to project a pleasant and professional image.
Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks.
Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others.

Must be available to work 7: 45am 6: 00pm
Must be able to travel between the Williamsburg and Gloucester office locations.
