We are currently seeking a Demand Planner, Marketing Operation to join the Client s Health team in the Virginia Beach, VA location.
As a Demand Planner, Marketing Operation, you would provide support for 2 critical functions. This person will provide both forecast and analytical reporting expertise for the company. This Demand Planning position is responsible for forecasting processes and accuracy associated with customers and products. The Demand planner will utilize statistics, marketing, sales and operations knowledge to effectively plan future increases or decreases of distributed products. Their role often involves challenging other departmental teams through research, analysis of trends, economic and external data to find consensus for the most accurate prediction of future activities.
This role is also responsible for data analysis and reporting to support the Tissue Services and Marketing Divisions. It requires a wide variety of analytical skill sets to help Client s Health transform internal and external data into insights that drive business strategies and plans.
You would be expected to perform all tasks assigned to you, including but not limited to:
Mines and analyzes data from multiple databases for quick and accurate data-driven decision making. Gathers, Stores and utilizes internal and external business data. Develops methods and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy. Builds complex Excel models, BI queries and/or Access databases to provide solutions for hard to get data and / or complicated questions.
Maintain effective forecasts by reviewing historical sales trends, researching demand drivers, preparing forecast data loads, capturing industry trends, developing statistical forecast models, and evaluating forecast results. Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast models to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions. Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts. Propose and implement solutions to improve the demand forecasting processes, systems and accuracy. Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies. Use and maintain the Demand Planning software (Forecast Pro). Support the S&OP Process with analysis and reporting as needed.
Designs and publishes reports & visual models (in SAP Business Objects, Tableau, PowerBI, Forecast Pro and any other analytical system tools we use) for the business users. Uses statistical analysis and predictive modeling to reflect current performance and / or recommend optimal business results, trends and highlight concerning data. Prepares, tracks, analyzes, and publishes weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to business unit leaders. Assist with the development and publication of automated reporting and dashboards.
Works with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions. Works closely with key business units to plan and execute high impact and practical data analytics and business system projects. Works with IT on data warehousing, database design, data capturing mechanisms and business applications to enhance our access and utilization of data helping drive more effective and efficient decision making across the organization.
Utilizes analytics to drive performance improvements in pricing strategy, performs price sensitivity analysis and list fee comparisons for key products to provide detailed information of account(s), market(s) and competitor pricing.
Bachelor s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance/Accounting, Math, Statistics, Computer Science or a related discipline
3 Years Related experience in an demand planning, forecasting or analytical type role
Data Management: Demonstrated strong data management skills and proficiency in analyzing data (like data processing, data programming, data mining and statistical analysis)
Microsoft Office: Advanced skills in Microsoft Access, Excel and PowerPoint
Data Systems: Experience working with data analysis & visualization tools (like Tableau, SAP Business Objects, SQL). Prior experience working with SAP or other ERP system preferred.
Demonstrated professional communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently
Masters or MBA
5 years Statistical analysis, forecasting/predictive Analytics
Forecasting Knowledge: APICS or other Forecasting Certification preferred
Expert Expert Excel Skills (like PowerBI, Macro, VBA )
Experience working with Forecast Pro or other forecasting system.
