CTR Group is seeking 1st Class Pipefitters for a Shipyard in the Pascagoula, MS area. Former or Recent Navy, especially Hull Technicians ideal!
Pay Rate: $42 per Hour plus Benefits Plus $180 Per Diem for Non-Local Candidates!!
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must demonstrate an acceptable proficiency and competency for an A-Class Pipefitters position.
- Must demonstrate ability to interpret and work from construction drawings, job specifications, instruction manuals, manufacturer’s handbooks, change order, and contract specifications.
- Pass the “A” Class pipe fitters tests; written with a minimum score of 70% and practical with a minimum score of 90%.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and measure using the metric system.
- Must be able to follow directions and work with limited supervision. Must be willing to develop other team members skill levels.
- must have working knowledge of procedures, strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow directions.
- must possess experience in the trade, knowledge of ship terminology, ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- must demonstrate ability to interpret job specifications and perform work on marine vessels.
- must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Must be able to tour all vessels and work sites.
