CTR Group is seeking an Accounting Clerk Junior for an Accounting Firm in the Newport News, VA, area. Immediate opening and urgently hiring. A Temp-Hire position.
Work Schedule: 32 Hours per week, M-F, 8-hour days (closed Fridays)
--Start first week in October or possibly even last week in September
Pay Range: $15 - $16 per hour
SUMMARY:
The position will support the Accounting Staff with data entry, using basic accounting concepts. He/she will learn to use QuickBooks. Prior experience with QuickBooks would be great. They do not need a college degree or years of experience. An understanding of basic accounting concepts, the difference between a debit and a credit is what is needed.
This is a position with growth. The person will learn to do payroll, account reconciliation, and can eventually even grow into becoming a tax preparer.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma
- We are seeking someone with accounting training, or someone who is new in the field.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Prior Accounts Payable / Receivable experience a plus
- Strong data entry skills
- Willingness to be trained and desire to start an accounting career
