CTR Group is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist for a Precision Machine Shop and Metal Fabrication Company in the Norfolk, VA area. Immediate opening and urgently hiring!
Pay Range: $20 - $28 per Hour plus Benefits.
1st Shift 6am-2pm
REQUIREMENTS:
- Sets and adjusts machining controls with minimal assistance
- Use edge finders, indicators, and probes to establish machine work offsets
- Produces precision parts that meet engineering specifications
- Reads and interprets engineering and manufacturing drawings with working knowledge of GD&T
- Accurately follows set up sheets and applies best practices
- Applies optimal cutting techniques, speeds and feeds
- Detects malfunctions or tolerance issues and communicates findings
- Verifies conformance of parts using standard measuring tools
- Performs through first-part inspections of moderate to complex parts.
- Consistently meets or exceeds job standard times & communicates proactively when delays occur
- Maintains accurate records or parts counts and required documentation
