CTR Group is seeking several CNC Machinist's local to the Hampton, VA area. Immediate openings and urgently hiring!

Pay: $28 to $38 depending on experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and operate CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers and turning centers on larger machines.
- Operate manual lathes and mills for precision machining tasks.
- Perform inspections during machining operations to ensure all quality standards are met or exceeded.
- Execute job setups using planned fixtures with accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct minor program edits on Fanuc-controlled CNC machines.
- Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to interpret and execute tasks according to customer specifications.
- Communicate effectively with team members, including co-workers, programming staff, and supervisors, to ensure seamless workflow.
- Maintain a self-starter attitude, taking initiative to meet production goals and quality expectations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of CNC machining experience, with some experience in a job shop environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CNC machine setup and operation, as well as minor program edits on Fanuc and/or Sinumerik controls.
- A working knowledge of GD&T is highly desired.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
- Tools: Must possess personal tools necessary for machining tasks.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Attention to Detail: Critical for precision work and maintaining quality standards.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy materials (usually 25–50 lbs).
- Manual Dexterity: Skill in handling tools and materials accurately.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are critical for success in this role.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
