SKILLS:
Janitorial, Cleaning, Light Repair/Maintenance
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Clean, sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax and polish floors in offices, restrooms, kitchenettes.
- Sweep floor in 60,000 sq ft manufacturing plant with brooms and using ride – on floor sweeper.
- Wash and dust windows, blinds, sills, woodwork, doors, furniture, office walls, & 20 foot tall walls and ceilings in plant area.
- Wipe down or wash production equipment under supervision of machine operators or management.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and breakrooms.
- Collect and dispose of waste in office and manufacturing area. Remove trash to outside containers.
- Shovel snow, maintain sidewalks, pick up trash in parking lot.
- Perform some repairs and maintenance of buildings by patching walls, painting walls and trim.
- Replace HVAC air filters in ceilings and on rooftop HVAC.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of proper use of basic cleaning products, and basic hand tools.
- Ability to understand and carry out routine spoken and written instructions, sustain long periods of light to moderately heavy physical activity, work independently, work in non-temperature controlled environment.
- Ability to reach, stand, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to fifty pounds. Must be able to work at heights up to 20’ using rolling stairs, ladders and scissor lifts with proper safety procedures.
- Must be able to operate pallet jack and scissor lift (training provided).
- The work environment is a busy sheet metal production factory, working near moving mechanical parts, dust, and heat.
