Key Responsibilities
Operate saws, shears, plasma cutters, or other cutting equipment to process metal materials
Measure, mark, and prepare raw materials based on work orders and production drawings
Inspect materials for quality, defects, and correct dimensions before and after cutting
Organize and stage materials for fabrication, welding, or assembly teams
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance needs
Assist with loading/unloading materials and general shop support as needed
Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company guidelines
Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing, metal shop, or industrial environment preferred
Ability to read tape measures, basic blueprints, or cut lists
Familiarity with metal cutting equipment (saws, shears, plasma, etc.) is a plus
Comfortable lifting and moving materials within company‑specified safety limits
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn new equipment and processes
