CTR Group is seeking an experienced Design Engineer for a global Manufacturing Company in the Newport News, VA area.

SUMMARY:
Seeking a Design Engineer with experience in an industry that involves heavy machinery and automation. The Design Engineer offers technical assistance, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
JOB DUTIES:
- Perform design and optimization efforts of current fixtures deployed at client facility
- Assist client with engineering requests related to current and future fixtures
- Provide regular feedback of fixture to headquarters
- In conjunction with the onsite team, perform initial engineering study of client requests for development of scope and budget requests
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical expertise
- 0-2 years of experience
- Ability to interpret/create technical drawings
- 3D modeling software knowledge, CATIA preferably
- Fast-thinking and know how to adapt quickly to any situation
- Attention to detail and quality
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record
- Must be US citizen to work on Naval designs.
