CTR Group is seeking ELECTRICAL CAD DRAFTERS / Engineering Techs at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in the Portsmouth, VA area. Immediate openings and urgently hiring! 5 Positions available.
Must be a US citizen and must hold a DoD Clearance.
EXCELLENT PAY RANGE
SUMMARY:
Generally providing AUTOCAD drafting services for CVN Power Generation and Distribution systems for 2D Ship Installation Drawings (detailed drawings) and 2D Ship Selected Record Drawings (Diagrams).
- Develops Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings for CVN Power Generation and Distribution systems for 2D Ship Installation Drawings (detailed drawings)
- Works closely with design originators,
- Experience with CVN Aircraft Carriers required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of high school, trade school, industrial school, apprenticeship course, or military school in which credits were received in algebra, plane geometry and drafting.
- A formal training course in CAD, utilizing the latest AutoCAD technology, is preferred, but not required.
- Must have 3+ years of Technical Drafting experience.
- Experience with CVN Aircraft Carriers is desired.
- 2 years of solid experience with AutoCAD Software.
- Able to accurately obtain mechanical measurements using calipers, micrometers, radius gauges, etc.
- Able to interpret and draft electrical wiring schematics.
- Strong communication skills, and good PC skill
- Must be a US citizen
- DoD clearance is required.
