Position: Forklift Operator
Experience: Minimum 6 months of forklift operation
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Location: Portsmouth, VA
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts efficiently and safely within the shipyard
- Transport materials and equipment as needed
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling and placement
- Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure optimal functionality
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
- Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate material movements
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and material handling activities
- Follow established procedures for handling hazardous materials, if applicable
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months of forklift operation experience
- Clean background check
- Active Secret Clearance
