CTR Group is seeking a Helpdesk Technician in Newport News, VA. Immediate openings and urgently hiring!
SUMMARY:
The Help Desk Representative is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solutions.
RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES:
- Provides technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Responds to queries either in person or via the Help Desk site.
- Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
- Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
- Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
- Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
- Ascertains from computer user the nature of problem, determines whether problem is cause by hardware, such as modem, printer, cables, or telephone, formulates diagnosis, and assists users through problem solving steps.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least two years of experience working in a similar capacity. Must have good working knowledge of IT systems, networking, protocols and hardware.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision.
