CTR Group is seeking a Human Resources Manager for a Manufacturing Company in the Hampton, VA, area. Immediate openings and urgently hiring.

SUMMARY:
Local manufacturing firm is searching for a skilled Human Resources Manager to manage practices, processes and strategies. Experience with ADP Net Benefits, and PSW Fidelity a plus. The Human Resources Manager provides core human resources support to the individual departments at the Company and manages multiple areas of responsibility including but not limited to Onboarding, Training, Engagement, Talent Acquisition, Personnel Relations, Security and Benefits.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources Management experience.
  • Must be capable of translating business priorities into HR programs, processes and initiatives that drive value and meet the business needs.
  • Serves as the first point of contact and first-line communications to leaders and team members regarding general human resources related questions/issues providing accurate and appropriate information or guidance or escalating as appropriate.
  • Consult with department leaders on a broad range of human resource issues, including talent planning, career mobility, retention, engagement, work actions, performance management and other related areas focused on developing a high-performance team.
  • Coach leaders to accelerate leadership effectiveness by applying the leadership skill set to include how to develop and implement engaging work environments and proper HR processes.
  • Oversees Benefits Program including the company’s health and welfare plans, specifically the medical, dental, life, disability, 401(k) benefit plans, FSA, and COBRA.
  • Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action and human resources.
  • Understand, apply, and teach retention concepts to attract, motivate and retain employees.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; obtaining qualified opinions when necessary; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Must be able to perform the following tasks:
  •  Administer the EEO and AAP programs.
  • Ability to manage any disciplinary processes and formal grievances.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Administer workman’s compensation cases.
  • Assists with preparation of plans, policies, documents, and reports including EEO-1, VETS 4212, affirmative action plans and employee handbooks.
  • Provide 401(k) testing/audit assistance.
  • Annual Health Insurance renewal evaluation and implementation with employees.
  • Interfacing with personnel service providers for certain new hire positions.
  • Reviewing incoming applicants for suitability based upon requirements provided by Department Managers.  
  • Maintaining records as relates to responding to applicants whether declining because of suitability or offers made.
  • Onboarding of new hires to include required orientation and documentation.
  • Administration of the electronic security entry/exit FOB system.
  • Proper exiting and adherence to exit procedures for terminations.
  • Annual drug testing and maintenance of that program.
  • Continuing education of employee benefit programs.
