CTR Group is seeking a Computer Programmer for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. A Fully Onsite Position. Current Clearance is required.

SUMMARY:
The Norfolk Naval Shipyard has a new requirement for a Computer Programmer for Code 244A.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, management, and life-cycle maintenance of applications. This will include work in a wide range of systemized operations such as performing select, insert, update, and delete record functions in Structured Query Language (SQL) and Access’ graphic user interface (GUI). The contractor will identify database requirements by interviewing customers; analyzing NNSY applications, programming and operation; evaluating existing systems and designing proposed systems. The
contractor will be required to coordinate with the information technologies (IT) department (C109) to issue, track, and facilitate resolution to IT deficiencies for equipment and software utilized.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining custom business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform to automate processes and improve efficiency.
- Skills should include experience in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, stakeholder collaboration, integration, and problem-solving.
- Experience gathering requirements, building apps, creating workflows, integrating data, ensuring security, providing user support, and documenting solutions.
- Experience in gathering business needs, creating data models, scripting data loads (SQL, Qlik Script), building dashboards/reports, optimizing performance, and ensuring data accuracy.
- The contractor will be required to type and load code into the appropriate integrated development environment (IDE) promptly with a high degree of accuracy.
- Process incoming change requests, evaluate their feasibility, discuss changes with stakeholders, amend and update programming as necessary, including deployment and lifecycle support.
- Ability to monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and update programming logic as needed to meet evolving needs.
- Experience trouble shooting, minimizing outages, and maximizing usability of databases.
- Handle requests for user access, support, and functional questions and assist customers and stakeholders.
- Ability to run regularly scheduled data queries requiring working level knowledge of database management concepts.
Required Experience:
• Subject Matter Expert in Microsoft Access and Visual Basic.
• Subject Matter Expert in Microsoft Power Apps and SharePoint.
• Working level knowledge of database management concepts.
• Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL)
- DoD Security Clearance is required.
- US citizenship is required.
