CTR Group is hiring Conventional Machinists for a Machine Shop in the Chesapeake, VA, area:
PAY RATE: $25.00 and higher per Hour
SUMMARY:
The Conventional Machinist will be performing general machining setups without supervision, including single point threading, knurling, broaching, and is proficient in maintaining precision tolerances. Interprets written instructions, specifications, plans and the layout of work using Machinist tools (conventional lathes, millings machines, drill presses, band saws and precision measuring tools). Lifting is required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 2-year apprenticeship or 5 years of Job Shop machining experience using conventional machines.
- Able to perform general machining setups without supervision, including single point threading, knurling, broaching, and is proficient in maintaining precision tolerances.
- Must be able to work from blueprints and written instructions.
