CTR Group is seeking to fill an APARTMENT LEASING SPECIALIST position for a Residential Property Management company in Newport News, VA.
Pay Range: $20 - $22 per Hour with Benefits offered.
SUMMARY:
Seeking a Leasing Specialist for a Property Management company to perform the following tasks:
- Advertising available properties: This includes creating and placing ads, creating brochures and floor plans, and managing property listing websites.
- Showing properties to prospective tenants: This includes conducting tours of available properties, answering questions about the property and the local area, and providing information about lease terms and application processes.
- Processing tenant applications: This includes reviewing applications, conducting background checks, and verifying references and employment.
- Negotiating lease agreements: This includes discussing lease terms, handling lease renewals, and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Managing tenant relationships: This includes responding to tenant inquiries and complaints, handling maintenance requests, and enforcing lease terms.
- Maintaining property records: This includes keeping track of rental income and expenses, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate records of lease agreements, tenant information, and other property-related documents.
- Staying up-to-date with real estate laws and regulations: This includes staying informed of changes in laws and regulations that may impact the leasing process, such as fair housing laws, and ensuring that the organization complies with them.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3 years of Leasing Specialist experience
- Experience working with conventional apartment leases.
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Excellent communication skills
