CTR Group is seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics - Plumbing for an exciting opportunity in the Norfolk, VA area!
PAY RANGE: $17 - $25 per Hour Plus $120 Per Diem
SUMMARY:
Repairs and maintains facility parts, fixtures and equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operations manuals and manufactures specifications machinery and mechanical equipment such as air compressors, fire pumps, metal shears, band saws, drill presses, plumbing and other production equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Should be able to make a diagnosis of machinery and equipment to determine problems and make proper repairs, whether the equipment is manually, air hydraulically or electrically operated.
Be capable of using measuring instruments such as rules calipers and micrometers.
Have some experience in operation of power tools, lathes, drill presses, band saws, grinders and other equipment to be effective and efficient in repairing equipment.
Possesses some skill and experience in building maintenance and repairs including boilers.
Experience in burning and welding would be helpful.
In addition, knowledge and experience in temporary service going aboard navy vessels would be a plus.
Must be knowledgeable in drain cleaning, plumbing water heaters, water line replacements, detection of leaks and drain cleaning, clogged drains, drain repair, faucet, and fixture installation, garbage disposals, gas leaks, leaky faucet repairs, pipe cleaning and repair, plumbing inspections, toilet installation, toilet repair, water heater repair, and water leak detection.
CTR Group is seeking Outside Machinists J1-J4 for our Shipyard client in Norfolk, VA
$20.00-$27.00 per Hour Plus $120 Per Diem for non-local candidates!
REQUIREMENTS:
Outside Machinist J4 Minimum of 5 (five) years directly related experience in a Shipyard Environment. Must meet all Journeyman 3 Outside Machinist requirements. Must be able to furnish sizes and clearance and also recommendations to supervisor. Able to read and use tech manuals and blueprints and specification items.
Outside Machinist J3 Minimum of 4 (four) years directly related experience in a Shipyard Environment. Must meet all Journeyman 2 Outside Machinist requirements. Able to read and use tech manuals and blueprints and specification items. Able to use and understand precision measuring instruments.
Outside Machinist J2 Minimum of 3 (three) years directly related experience in a Shipyard Environment. Must meet all Journeyman 1 Outside Machinist requirements.
Outside Machinist J1 Minimum of 2 (two) years directly related experience in a Shipyard Environment. Must be able to work on any equipment shown below with close supervision.
