SUMMARY:
Seeking a Mechanical and Structural Engineering Manager to lead our Mechanical Design and Structural/ Stress Engineering team. In this role, you will oversee the structural analysis of aircraft modifications and installations, ensuring that all projects meet airworthiness requirements and comply with relevant regulations. You will also mentor and lead Mechanical Design and Structural Stress Engineers, manage department labor forecasts, and estimate engineering labor hours for formal bids.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering or related engineering field at an accredited university and a minimum of 15 years of prior relevant experience in structural analysis to 14CFR 23, 25 (preferred)m 27, and 29.
- 8 years of demonstrated experience in an engineering team leadership or management role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, FEMAP with NX/NASTRAN (or similar analysis tools), and CAD and PLM software, e.G., Solidworks PDM and Teamcenter.
- Strong communication, organizational, and team-building skills.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required.
Preferred Experience
- 20 years of aircraft structural analysis to 14CFR 23, 25, 27, 29
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience
- Experience working with MIL-HDBK-516C, FAA, or military airworthiness requirements for status strength.
- DoD or EA/EW, Sigint, Elint experience
