CTR Group is seeking several Marine Carpenters local to the Somerset, MA area. Immediate openings and urgently hiring!

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Mon - Fri
RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to read, interpret and follow engineering blueprints and drawings
- Able to measure, lay out and assemble components
- Experience using basic hand and small power tools including drills, saws, sanders, measuring tape, level, screwdriver etc
- Mathematical and analytical skills to complete complex carpentry tasks with minimal assistance
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install a wide variety of appearance-grade materials
- Ability to work with metal, wood and other materials
- Must be a highly reliable individual with good organizational skills and be able to work independently
- Capable of completing build out (assembly) of galley, salon and helm station
- Ability to adjust/modify cabinetry and trim to improve fit and function
- Ability to lift and manipulate objects up to 60 lbs
- Candidate must be capable of walking and standing for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift, carry and transport equipment and boxes
- Able to work on and climb ladders, bend, stoop, crawl and work aboard ships both in the shipyard and on the water
- Ability to work under industrial conditions and in confined spaces
- Must be capable of wearing all required personal protective equipment
