Position Summary
Duties
Reports to Production Supervisor
Interact with delivery drivers.
Unload deliveries from box trucks, semi trucks, and flat bed trucks, using forklift or pallet jack.
Compare packing slip to purchase order and verify that contents are correct and not damaged.
Notify management of discrepancies.
Place stock in correct location.
Move raw material and parts in process at the direction of supervisor and machine operators, using forklift, pallet jack, pallet stacker, or carts.
Ensure material and parts in process are kept neat and orderly.
Load finished goods onto box truck, pick up truck, or semi truck, with forklift, pallet jack, or by hand.
Package products for return to vendors.
Package products for shipping to customers.
Other General labor tasks as needed.
Skills required:
Forklift experience REQUIRED moving over sized products in tight spaces.
Inventory management – locating & noting location of products on plant floor.
Ability to understand shipping documents
Ability to read ruler, and tape measure.
Ability to understand and convert basic decimals and fractions for materials identification
Ability to follow verbal instructions.
Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with co workers, delivery drivers.
Excellent attendance, and dependability
Must possess a strong sense of urgency.
Must be able to work independently.
Physical requirements: Must be able to reach, bend; lift, push, pull up to 75 lbs. Periods of standing, walking, sitting required.
NOT a temperature controlled environment – plant is not air conditioned and becomes very hot in the spring, summer and fall.
