CTR Group is seeking a Mechanical Material Expeditor / Planner for a Ship Repair Company in Portsmouth, VA. The position will be supporting the material planning for Submarines.

SUMMARY:
Seeking a Material Expeditor / Planner supporting Norfolk Naval Shipyard Engineering and Planning Department Code 265; Submarine Mechanical/Piping. The position will be responsible for utilized technical manuals, drawings, sketches, hit kits, job summaries; plans and Engineering Method & Standards for the development of should cost estimates. Obtain estimates from vendors and contractors to supply complete material assemblies for installation aboard ships. Support ordering all types of material, including Level One IAW Navy’s Level I Program (NAVSEA) 0945-LP-045-7010), Mil Spec, Rentals, Services, and Hazardous Materials IAW Navy, Corporate and OSHE specifications. Capable of using similar NAVSEA/NNSY computer programs/applications: IHS, MAT, WEB MRQT, AIM, E-MALL, SHOP
STORES CATALOG, LEVEL ONE TOOL KIT, NAVICP, and CDMDOA. Uses Web MRQT and Web MATP, these are public ship databases. Ship check for interferences, support developed of production estimates and issued technical working documents, which include Job Summaries, Task Group Instructions (TGI’s), and Deficiency Forms (DF’s). Familiarity with NAVSEA instructions associated with the
installation of Non-Nuclear Temporary Services and Shipyard Support System for Naval Vessels would be considered a plus but is not mandatory for this request for quote. The mission of this branch is to furnish engineering services for US Navy SSN/SSBN including Moored Training Ship Conversion
REQUIREMENTS:
- Mechanical Material Expediting and Planning experience required.
- Experience with the development of Submarine mechanical/piping cost estimates.
- 3+ years of experience using technical manuals, drawings, sketches, hit kits, job summaries in material expediting & planning.
- Support ordering all types of material, including Level One IAW Navy’s Level I Program (NAVSEA) 0945-LP-045-7010), Mil Spec, Rentals, Services, and Hazardous Materials IAW Navy, Corporate and OSHE specifications.
- Capable of using similar NAVSEA/NNSY computer programs/applications: IHS, MAT, WEB MRQT, AIM, E-MALL, SHOP
STORES CATALOG, LEVEL ONE TOOL KIT, NAVICP, and CDMDOA - Must have at least a Confidential Clearance.
