Payroll Analyst 1 (6-Month Contract)
Job Overview:
This role involves reviewing, auditing, reconciling, and resolving complex payroll issues to ensure seamless payroll operations. The Payroll Analyst will ensure all payroll reports and payments align with company policies, accounting standards, and federal/state/IRS guidelines. Responsibilities include researching and interpreting regulatory requirements, addressing tax, withholding, garnishment, and wage/hour concerns, and responding to audit and regulatory requests. The position may also involve collaborating with system developers to resolve issues or managing payroll systems in partnership with an external provider.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with no prior experience required.
- Equivalent qualifications:
- 4 years of related exempt experience in lieu of a degree.
- 8 years of unrelated exempt experience as an alternative to a degree.
- 12 years of relevant non-exempt experience in industries like Manufacturing, Military, Shipbuilding, or Trades in place of a degree.
Special Requirements:
- Experience in a payroll call center, with the ability to troubleshoot or escalate issues to subject matter experts as necessary.
- Flexibility to handle additional payroll-related tasks as assigned.
