CTR Group is seeking a Project Scheduler - Government Construction, in the Charleston, SC area for an organization that creates some of the most advanced architectural products in the world. Their Industrial Security Products are custom engineered in the USA and utilized by private, State and Federal agencies.

SUMMARY:
The Project Control Analyst IV is responsible for scheduling, forecasting, and cost control of Company’s projects.
  • Develop and implement cost control procedures, documents, and tools to support and enhance project budget management.
  • Work in close cooperation with the Program Manager(s), Project Manager(s), Contracts Director, subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party consultants to the development and implementation of the project schedule, cost loaded planning, and schedule of values for client and subcontractors.
Assist with the coordination of subcontractors and suppliers to make sure the purchase of all services and material is in line with the schedule; and identifying and notifying of concerns or delays expeditiously to minimize schedule slippage to include recovery planning if needed.
  • Responsible for the overall cost control tracking of the project (time, labor, material, subcontractor, etc.) in regard to schedule of values and release of payments.
  • Work on multiple projects to include commercial and Government customers.
  • Responsible for developing estimates at completion providing inputs into Company’s annual financial planning and quarterly financial forecast updates.
  • Reports to CFO with direct support to the program management teams.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science in Finance, Engineering, Construction Management or related field from an accredited college, university or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience as a construction project scheduler using Microsoft Project on at least two previous projects of comparable scope of work.
  • Extremely Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Capable of performing Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and other contractual tools related to scheduling.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proven problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be self-motivated with little supervision needed.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to manage multiple tasks and coordinate activities to meet deadlines is critical.
  • Must be courteous, professional, and diplomatic.
  • Must possess a high level of confidentiality.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Previous U.S. Government construction project experience
  • Previous design/build experience
