CTR Group is hiring a Project Engineer - Food Processing for a large Manufacturing Plant in Newport News, VA!
Pay Range: $100K - $110K and Excellent Benefits
SUMMARY:
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day engineering requirements of a growing manufacturing operation. This would include monitoring current process and procedures, identifying and implementing improvement plans, developing new processes and assuring compliance with environmental and worker safety. Seeking a Technology Champton, who will stay current on latest technologies to improve the Company's manufacturing process.
Work with other teams to modify and modernize major plant facilities such as Refrigeration, Hydraulics, Electrical, etc.
Research, acquire and install processing and packaging equipment.
Document new facilities and processes using CAD software.
Provide technical support on projects to Production, Maintenance and Research & Development
Lead the continuous improvement of the production processes.
Collaborate with the EH&S manager to eliminate potential hazards.
Assure Food Safety and Environmental Safety.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering or related field
Prior experience as an Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Plant Engineer or Facilities Engineer.
5 years of experience in the food industry, incl. Experience working in frozen food processing.
Familiarity with refrigerated cold space and process freezers and knowledge of NH3.
Must be available to travel as needed.
