Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test parts, materials, and finished products to determine conformance to requirements.
  • Generate and manage inspection records, including documentation reviews.
  • Process nonconforming products and coordinate resolutions with various departments.
  • Perform inventory transfers and manage records related to inspections.
Level-Specific Responsibilities:
  • Use basic measuring devices like calipers, micrometers, or tape measures.
  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Perform simple calculations using fractions and decimals.
Level II:
  • Inspect rework for acceptance and handle material containment inspections.
  • Operate overhead cranes and perform first article inspections.
  • Implement LEAN, 5S, and visual workplace tools.
  • Use MS Office and contact management systems proficiently.
Level III:
  • Perform receiving and return inspections.
  • Execute UT Level I or II inspections and perform advanced geometry-related tasks.
  • Collect and review documents for completeness and conformance.
  • Operate within Quality Assurance databases and systems.
Senior-Level Responsibilities:
  • Issue Engineering Change Requests and manage red-line documents.
  • Drive timely resolutions for nonconformance reports.
  • Perform advanced inspections, including UT Level III duties.
  • Manage audits, corrective actions, and produce comprehensive reports.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
  • Level II: Minimum 2 years in manufacturing with inspection experience; CWI certification.
  • Level III: Minimum 4 years in manufacturing; UT Level I or II certification required; CWI.
  • Senior: Minimum 8 years as a quality inspector; UT Level III certification and CWI.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient in basic and advanced inspection equipment and measurement devices.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication, welding, mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, and raw materials.
  • Ability to perform visual weld inspections and advanced testing methods.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle or feel objects.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in a fabrication and assembly shop environment.
  • Exposure to mechanical parts, airborne particles, and loud noise levels.
