RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sew multiple types of baby bonnets accurately and efficiently.
- Assemble and package multiple types of baby bonnets accurately and efficiently, as needed. Maintain accountability for the accuracy of baby bonnets pulled and their amounts.
- Perform visual inspections of baby bonnet components while sewing in order to provide a quality product to customers.
- Maintain continued efforts to increase production levels in a cost-efficient manner.
- Is a positive contributor to all team goals.
- Properly accounts for time and attendance by entering the correct codes as directed.
- Meets productivity standards; works quickly; completes work in a timely manner.
- Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions.
- Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures Manual, including safety, security, and quality.
- Provide high quality customer service to all in-house personnel, customers, and vendors.
- Promptly respond to all internal and external inquiries.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Follow work instructions/procedures as written.
- Perform other duties including special projects as assigned by the Production Supervisor/Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, walk, occasional stooping and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Good hand-eye coordination. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- High School Diploma or general education degree GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
