CTR Group is seeking a Shop Fabricator local to the Portsmouth, VA area. Immediate openings and urgently hiring!

Pay: $30-$32 depending on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

• Fabrication & Assembly: Cut, bend, shape, and weld metal components (steel, aluminum) using tools like grinders, torches, brakes, and shears.
• Welding: Perform structural or precision welding, typically MIG, TIG, or Flux-Core, to join metal parts according to specifications.
• Machinery Operation: Set up and operate shop machinery, including CNC plasma cutters, ironworkers, and lasers.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products using calipers, tapes, and gauges to ensure accuracy, compliance with, and quality standards.
• Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean work area, follow all safety protocols, and perform routine maintenance on tools.
• Education: High school diploma or GED; technical school welding certification
