SUMMARY:
For our client's state-of-the-art, advanced manufacturing facility in West Lafayette, IN, we are seeking a Structural Assembly Supervisor to join our team, to help build the aft fuselage for the U.S. Air Force new military trainer. We are looking for a driven leader that is passionate about teamwork and creating value in our production operation. We are looking for a candidate to work closely with the Production Manager and other Production Supervisors to accomplish the goals set for the production team and overall organization.
Supervise and lead Structural Assembly in daily production activities
Ensure efficient daily operations of the advanced manufacturing operation
Champion a positive and high-performance work culture
Mentor the team and provide training and coaching to improve performance
Hold employees accountable to established work processes and work rules
Empower work teams to align to production KPI’s and overall business goals
Facilitate the recruiting, selection, and training of new team members for their area
Monitor work quality to consistently deliver exceptional customer service
Demonstrate an understanding of the company policies and local work rules, including safety, quality and FOD prevention
Adhere to the Company's 6S program and maintain a clean environment at all times
Communicate and collaborate effectively with management, team members and support roles
Implement continuous improvement action plans
Oversee and approve work hours for production team on a daily and weekly basis
REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of Supervision in a manufacturing environment is required, experience in advanced manufacturing is a plus
Experience supervising in an aerospace manufacturing environment is a strong plus
Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Advanced Manufacturing, Aeronautics, or a related field preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) is required Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment is desirable
Experience using MES and ERP systems is a plus
Proven ability to work effectively across functional departments, and achieve alignment on goals
Ability to lead by example, building positive and productive work relationships
Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed to meet customer timelines.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
