CTR Group is seeking a Structural Foreman for a Shipyard in the Newport News, VA area. Seeking Local Candidates.
Pay Range: $34 - $38 per hour.

SUMMARY:
The Structural Foreman will be responsible for supervising and coordinating structural crews performing steel repairs, modifications, and installations on naval and commercial vessels. This role requires hands-on leadership, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract specifications, shipyard standards, and production schedules.
Key responsibilities include planning daily work activities, assigning tasks, monitoring productivity, and ensuring quality control of all structural work. The Foreman will work closely with project management, trades, and shipyard personnel to support schedule adherence and resolve technical or workforce challenges in a fast-paced repair environment. Qualified candidates will have proven leadership experience in ship repair, a strong understanding of structural fabrication and repair processes, and the ability to manage crews in demanding shipyard conditions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven leadership experience in ship repair.
- Experience supervising structural crews performing steel repairs, modifications and installations on naval or commercial vessels.
- Strong understanding of structural fabrication and repair processes.
- Knowledge of shipyard standards and familiarity with production schedules.
- Experience planning daily work activities, assigning tasks, and monitoring productivity.
