Job location: Tampa, FL
Pay: $34 PLUS per diem
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- 5 years of experience, Ship Repair
- 5 years of experience, Leading Welders and/or Fitters
- Expert in Drawing and Prints
- Expert in AWS, ABS and USCG Welding Procedures
- Lead all Welders and Shipfitters in daily production requirements
- Schedule Welders and Shipfitter
- Inform and coordinate with the Ship Superintendent all needs, safety hazards, schedule milestones and material needs
- Write all direct reports
- Assist with hiring welders and fitters
- Read prints and drawings to determine steel work required
- Steel Foreman will lead Welders and Shipfitters in cutting and replacing steel
- The Steel Foreman will coordinate with management to ensure there is enough workforce to complete each task
- The Foreman will guide, lead and teach all Welders and Shipfitters as required to complete steel welding and fabrication in the ship repair industry
