Job Description

 
CTR Group is seeking several Technical Publications Admins in Newport News for a short term contract. Immediate openings and urgently hiring!

SKILLS: 
Technical Writing, Blueprint reading, MS Office Suite, Data Entry
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate with Technical BoM Engineer to validate engineering changes to bills of material to meet Technical Publications Department standards.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure required spare parts information is available.
  • Create and maintain supplier spare parts bills of material as assigned by Technical BoM Engineer.
  • Receive and review supplier drawings, models and other documentation to be shared internally
  • Work with technical illustrators to schedule new and revised illustrations based on engineering or supplier changes as needed
  •  Maintain spare parts information in the company ERP system.
  • Communicate with Product Support to coordinate and update machine records based on changes caused by Service Information (SIs) and Technical Instructions (TIs).
  • Work with affiliates to ensure feedback on parts exchange and change-out is received in the required format
  • Resolve affiliate and customer feedback to Technical Publications documentation.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with Reading Blueprints
  • Experience with preparing Technical Publications and Bill of Materials
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University and three (3) years related technical experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
