CTR Group is seeking a WAAM Operator for a Naval Engineering Department of a Company in Newport News, VA that specializes in designing and manufacturing high quality mechanical and electromechanical equipment for space, energy and industry applications.

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Newport News, Virginia.
Activity: Advanced manufacturing, welding, maritime industrial base
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate WAAM equipment, including welding machines and robotic arms or CNC motion systems
- Monitor and control WAAM process parameters to ensure part quality and conformity to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on WAAM equipment
- Conduct quality checks on produced parts and make necessary adjustments
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize WAAM processes and part designs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
What you bring:
- 3+ years' experience in welding, additive manufacturing, or related field
- Strong knowledge of WAAM processes and equipment
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Certification in welding or additive manufacturing preferred
