CTR Group is seeking Marine Electricians to support ship repair and modernization work at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine.
Job Summary:
Marine Electricians are responsible for installing, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and components aboard U.S. Navy ships and submarines. Work includes both new installation and maintenance of shipboard electrical and electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and repair electrical wiring, lighting, and control systems on Navy vessels.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine layout and installation procedures.
Test, troubleshoot, and repair power distribution systems, controllers, switchboards, motors, and lighting circuits.
Perform cable pulling, terminations, connector fabrication, and continuity testing.
Follow all shipyard safety requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and quality standards.
Collaborate with other trades to support ship repair and modernization projects.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of recent Marine Electrical experience on Navy or commercial vessels.
Ability to read and interpret shipboard drawings and technical manuals.
Proficiency with cable terminations, connectors, and troubleshooting shipboard systems.
Must pass background check, drug screen, and obtain base access clearance.
Must be able to work in confined spaces and at heights as required.
Active security clearance preferred but not required.
